February has been another busy and joyful month at nursery, filled with celebrations, learning experiences and lovely time spent together.
We started the month with a visit to Breightmet library for Toddler Tales. The children really enjoyed listening to stories, joining in with songs and exploring the books. It’s always such a lovely way to encourage a love of reading and connect with our local community.
Back at nursery we celebrated Pancake Day, where the children had lots of fun talking about how pacnakes are made and enjoying some tasty treats. We also marked Valentine’s Day, focusing on kindness and friendship, with activities that celebrated the people we care about.
To celebrate Chinese New Year the children enjoyed a very special Chinese banquet. They explored traditional foods that are shared to bring wealth, luck and good fortune. They even helped to make traditional Chinese tea eggs, which was a fantastic opportunity to learn about another culture through food and shared experiences.
We were also very exited to behin a new session of Forest School. The children have loved getting back outdoors, exploring nature, building confidence and developing their curiosity in the natural environment.
Families were invited to join the REAL event at the library, which was a wonderful opportunity to connect with other families and enjoy stories and activities together within the community.
Finally, we took some time to celebrate the amazing women in our nursery team. The girls were treated to a delicious Bella’s Bakes buffet, which was a lovely way to say thank you and recognise the hard work and care they show every day.
