In July we held our Baby Club sessions for our newest babies and their families who will be joining us soon at Daisy Chains.
These relaxed sessions gave families the opportunity to spend time in the nursery together, getting to know the environment, meeting the practitioners who will be caring for their little ones and beginning to build relationships with other families.
For babies, starting nursery is a big transition. Having opportunities to visit with their parent or carer allows them to explore this new environment from the security of someone they already trust. Gradually becoming familiar with the sights, sounds, routines and faces of nursery can help them to begin to feel safe and comfortable before their first full session.
It also gives our practitioners valuable time to get to know each baby as an individual, their personality, cues, interests and routines, whilst beginning to build those important, warm, responsive relationships. These early connections support babies in developing secure attachments with the adults who will care for them at nursery.
For parents, Baby Club provides a chance to get to know us too, ask questions, share information about their baby and hopefully feel a little more confident about that first goodbye.
We loved welcoming our newest little members of the Daisy Chains family and can’t wait to see you all again in September.
