Daisy Chains Bolton Ltd opened in 1990 in a beautiful detached building full of original character and charm. Over the years, we have grown and evolved, but our heart has always remained the same, to provide exceptional care and education during the most precious years of a child’s life.
We are registered with Ofsted and work in partnership with Bolton Council to deliver funded early education places. We are also members of the National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA).
Our values, beliefs and approach to care and learning
Relationships sit at the centre of everything we do, between children, staff and families. We look after one another, support one another and celebrate one another. We know that when children feel safe, secure and valued, they thrive.
Every child who walks through our doors is welcomed as an individual. We take time to understand their unique personalities, interests, cultures and family backgrounds so that we can nurture not only their development, but their sense of belonging.
We believe:
- Children learn best when they feel loved.
- Every child deserves to be seen, heard and respected.
- Strong partnerships with families create the best outcomes for children.
- Staff wellbeing matters, because happy practitioners create happy environments.
Our nursery is homely yet spacious, beautifully furnished and thoughtfully designed to feel calm, inspiring and comforting. A true home-from-home.
Inclusion & Belonging
Inclusion is at the heart of Daisy Chains.
We are committed to providing a fully inclusive, anti-discriminatory environment where every child and family feels represented, respected and valued. We celebrate diversity in all its forms including culture, language, ethnicity, religion, gender, ability and family structure.
Our curriculum reflects the world our children live in. We provide meaningful opportunities for children to explore differences, develop empathy and build a strong sense of self.
We have:
- A qualified SENCo who works closely with families and external professionals
- Two Communication Champions
- Two Elklan-trained practitioners (0–5 years)
- Two Physical Literacy Champions
- A Nursery Teacher supporting high-quality teaching and learning
We work collaboratively with outside agencies where needed, ensuring early identification, tailored support and the best possible outcomes for every child.
Our Learning Environment
We provide high-quality early education for children aged 9 months to five years.
Our large, thoughtfully organised playrooms are calm, engaging spaces designed around what is in the child’s view. Continuous provision allows children to freely explore, make choices and follow their interests throughout the day.
Our experienced practitioners observe, assess and plan in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), using Development Matters to guide children’s progress from their individual starting points.
Focused sessions are carefully planned around both individual and group interests, ensuring learning is purposeful, engaging and meaningful.
We are open from 7:30am – 5:30pm, offering flexible session options. Details of funded and unfunded session and fees can be found in our fee structure on our website.
Outdoor Learning & Forest School
Outdoor learning is a vital part of life at Daisy Chains.
Each age group has access to their own carefully designed outdoor space, allowing children to develop physically, socially and emotionally through exploration and play.
Our Pre-School children also take part in Forest School sessions held within local church gardens. A spacious, secure and rich in natural learning opportunities. These sessions encourage resilience, curiosity, problem-solving and a love of nature.
Nutrition & Wellbeing
All meals are freshly prepared daily on site by our Nursery Chef. We are proud to have achieved and maintained a Level 5 Food Hygiene Rating the highest possible standard.
Children’s health, wellbeing and emotional security are central to everything we do. We closely monitor progress from starting points, ensuring every child is supported to reach their full potential.
