Sun kissed mornings and warm June nights
June was an exciting time to observe the life cycle of a butterfly. Our carterpillars arrived in the post and we carefully followed the picture instructions. Soon they were ready to change into beautiful butterflies that we set free in the garden. We must have taken very good care of them as they stayed for quite a while to take some beautiful photos with us.
We’ve been busy in the garden channeling water and filling and emptying containers. We love the warmer months, but we notice our water butts need filling up much more often!
We were surprised with a visit from the firefighters who showed us their much bigger hose. They kindly let us test out their equipment, squirting the water and trying on their helmets before rushing off to an emergency!
