Hello May 2026

|

In May, we enjoyed a welcome change in the weather and embraced the seasonal changes it brought to our gardens. The children spent time observing, exploring, and engaging with the natural world around them.

We celebrated the birthday of Sir David Attenborough by sharing stories inspired by Where’s Mrs Bee, encouraging the children to smell, observe, and explore flower cuttings as part of their learning about nature and habitats.

We attended the Local Authority Big Night Out, providing staff with valuable opportunities to connect, share good practice, and celebrate early years work across the area.

In Preschool, the children made their own hummus as part of snack time, supporting independence, fine motor skills, and an understanding of healthy eating.

We also celebrated Mental Health Awareness Week with a range of calming and sensory experiences, including sound baths, foot spas, bubble play, herb planting, yoga, and Mini Minds activities, supporting children’s emotional wellbeing and self-regulation.

We are proud to share that we achieved Millie’s Mark, recognising our continued commitment to high standards of safeguarding and paediatric first aid across our setting.
