Hello March

|

The children had a wonderful time enjoying our local park. Going to our local park provides a great opportunity for our children to discover what is in their local community.

We also celebrated Shrove Tuesday by choosing our own toppings for our pancakes. The children were delighted picking between banana, chocolate sauce and lemon. There was plenty of pancake related activities throughout the day including drawing their own pancakes, they also had a go at flipping pancakes in a pan, which was so much fun!

What a fabulous time we had for world book day. Always a great opportunity to share the children’s favourite books and really embrace our reading culture within nursery. There were some fabulous outfits this year we are so impressed with all the effort that has been made. We are looking forward to seeing what next year has in store.

We celebrated St Patricks Day with colouring in 4 leaf clovers and green water in the water tray. As well as lots of other related activities

The parents enjoyed coming to see the children playing at nursery at the ‘Stay and Play’ sessions. Parents were able to get fully involved by joining in decorating biscuits with the children, playing with the playdoh and joining in with the parachute games. This was a wonderful opportunity for parents to see what the children are doing at nursery on a daily basis.

This month our caterpillars arrived! The children are so excited to watch them grow as part of our lifecycle topic.

We also did some fundraising for Red Rose Day. The children dressed in red and did lots of activities.
